Wow. The first week of August has been crazy at D2L-crazy with good stuff! This is the first week in our Prevention Month 2012 for the Lowcountry. We have had an excellent first week and I wanted to share some of the highlights.
We started off this week and last with appearances on Lowcountry Live and “In the news-Post & Courier”. It is so wonderful that our local media supports Prevention month and really supports us getting out the word of awareness and education. This week on Lowcountry Live,
we were joined by one of the owners of Five Loaves to help us promote our first “Join the Movement Monday”!
Join the Movement Mondays are our joint initiative to spread the word of awareness via a night out at one of the fabulous restaurants in town. This past Monday, Fat Hen, Graze, and Five Loaves particpated. (Check out the pictures of the servers from Graze!) It was a great night and we look forward to three weeks more of JTMM!
Trainings have been going great. This week we have Charleston County Induction Training, Johns Island Library, and the Great Leader conference all learing about prevention.
Stay tuned for updates on the next few weeks and check out the Lowcountry Partner in Prevention profiles on the South Carolina state page!
