Click HERE to view the U.S. National Sex Offender Registry (SOR).
Most of the state registries are very effective and allow you to search by neighborhood, name, or zip code.
As we said in our Tuesday Talking Point, knowledge is power, and becoming more aware of offenders around you allows you to better protect the children you love.
Despite the positives of the SOR, the majority of child sexual abuse will be perpetrated by somebody not already listed. You can not profile a paedophile based on age, race, economic background, or education.
These are just a few reasons that as responsible adults, we should all educate ourselves on how to better protect our children. Simple proactive steps on our part can help shelter our children from the tragedy of child sexual abuse.
