Sara Taggart, MPA

Sara is the Prevention, Education, & Partnership Manager at Children’s Center, the designated child abuse intervention center serving Clackamas County, Oregon. Her work focuses on raising awareness about the impacts of childhood trauma and collaborating with community partners to help prevent abuse and neglect. Sara oversees the Children’s Center’s prevention programs including an effort to train 5,000 adults in Darkness to Light’s Stewards of Children® in partnership with The Ford Family Foundation’s Protect Our Children Project.
Prior to joining the Children’s Center, Sara was a teacher, researchers, and educational change consultant in the US and Africa. She is am Authorized Facilitator for Darkness to Light. 200-hour certified Hatha Yoga teacher, Koru Mindfulness teacher- in-training, and the parent of two teenagers.Sara received a BA in history from Dartmouth College and an MPA in education and social policy from the University of Washington.
