Megan Banet is a Prevention Specialist at the Memphis Child Advocacy Center and Authorized Facilitator of Darkness to Light’s Stewards of Children®, teaching adults to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse.
She holds a master’s degree in psychology from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. Megan has a broad range of experience in the field of early child development and child maltreatment. She worked as a research assistance in a developmental neuropsychological laboratory, as a children’s counselor at a grassroots rape crisis center, as a mental health consultant for Early Head Start, and as an evaluator for child maltreatment prevention programs.
