The new Stewards of Children® features eight brave child sexual abuse survivors who, as adults, have chosen to share their personal stories to ensure other children are protected. We are proud to have them as part of the Stewards of Children family!
David Moody, Jr., is a native of Chicago, Illinois, and now resides in Atlanta, Georgia.
Throughout the Atlanta area, Dave is known as a capable and successful commercial contractor. His award-winning contracting company, C.D. Moody Construction, is the second-largest minority-owned business of its kind in the state of Georgia. He is also a survivor of child sexual abuse.
Dave kept his abuse a secret for 26 years before he finally was able to share his story with his wife. It takes most survivors years to disclose, and many never tell. Luckily, Dave was able to break the silence, and today, he uses his experience to help others.
In an interview with the Atlanta Business Chronicle, Dave stated, “If I help just one person realize that life can be OK, it will be worth it. I want to give hope to people who have suffered from sexual abuse, panic attacks, anxiety attacks or post-traumatic stress disorder.”
