Yara Wilde
Yara is a survivor and advocate who is passionate about empowering children and in supporting survivors. As a former educator, Yara is working on a Student’s Bill of Rights so that children know their safety is protected under the law. Teaching children bodily autonomy and consent is an important part of changing culture around Childhood Sexual Abuse, and one of many things we can do as a community to protect children. She has worked with the Keep Kids Safe Movement and Loves their mission of centering Prevention, Healing, and Justice. She has also recently brought forth a lawsuit against her abuser, a former Southern California teacher. She believes in the power of speaking up and speaking out, and of holding predators and institutions accountable.
