Elizabeth Peace
Elizabeth is a former journalist, author and TV news anchor. She worked on Capitol Hill as a communications director and speechwriter for Congress, and as Director of Public and Congressional Affairs for the U.S. Navy.
Personally affected by child sexual abuse and seeing the need for prevention education among military families, she created Sgt. BARK. What began as a way to teach children about body boundaries in an age-appropriate coloring book is growing into multiple coloring books with the Sgt. BARK mascot to help parents know how to talk to their kids about their bodies, kindness, and bullying prevention. Elizabeth travels the country speaking on the topic of child sexual abuse, and works diligently to connect families to proven prevention, to keep kids safe from harm. She is a Darkness to Light Authorized Facilitator, teaching Stewards of Children® child sexual abuse prevention programming.
