It is always a fantastic start to the morning when you come in to great news at work! Today we received a fax from the Charleston County Public Library to train all of their employees in Stewards of Children! With 16 branches in the area, this is a group of people who touch our kids everyday. Through a Prevent-A-Thon pledge, we will be working over the next few months to train their staff how to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse.
For all of you in the Charleston area, with school starting this week, make sure you stop by your local branch of the library, check out a book, and be proud of their dedication to our children. And for those of you who do not live in the Charleston area, this is just one example of how a local Prevent-A-Thon can help those in your community get trained!
