Darkness to Light was recently chosen as a Top 5 Nominee for the 5th Annual CLASSY Awards. Over 3,000 organizations were considered for this honor, and we are excited to announce that we are a finalist in the Child Rights category. According to the CLASSY Awards, “Child Rights programs protect a generation that hasn’t found its voice yet. They work to provide equal educational opportunities and end neglect, abuse, exploitation and deficient health care for children up to 18 years old.”
The finalist for each category will be announced on March 19. Of those, eight will receive the 2014 CLASSY Award. We are honored to be part of this fantastic group of organizations, and encouraged to see protection from child sexual abuse recognized as a basic right that all children should have.
