Charleston, S.C. – Oct. 27, 2015 – Darkness to Light (D2L), a leading organization in the fight to prevent, recognize and react responsibly to child sexual abuse, today announced the appointment of Jamie Tozzi of Charleston, SC to the organization’s Board of Directors.
Tozzi has served in various leadership roles at Microsoft for the last 15 years, and is presently General Manager of the Microsoft Dynamics AX business in the United States, where she oversees a cross-functional team of technical, sales, marketing, and partner professionals. Prior to Microsoft, she served as a consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers, advising national and international organizations on matters of business process and infrastructure development. Throughout her career, Tozzi has been recognized as a top leader and has won many awards, including the highest award category available to Microsoft employees worldwide.
Tozzi is a mother to three boys and an active community member in Charleston. She and her husband Jeff are philanthropists with a deep passion for helping children thrive and realize their full potential. They have established academic and sports scholarships for children in the local community, and have donated their time and resources to other important causes.

This addition of yet another powerhouse to its diverse board further demonstrates Darkness to Light’s commitment to cultivating strong leadership both from within its hometown community and across the nation. Darkness to Light currently has two board members in Charleston, South Carolina, with nine additional board members spanning the states of Texas, Washington, Louisiana, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Connecticut, and Washington, D.C. The organization has seen significant momentum in the last six months, including a national documentary partnership with cable network’s TLC channel, program expansion into India, and reaching the milestone of one million adults trained.

Tozzi holds a Bachelor of Science with a double major in Marketing and Communications from Boston College. “There is no issue closer to my heart than keeping children safe,” said Tozzi. “It is up to us as adults to lead a movement of change that once and for all stamps out this devastating and pervasive issue. I’m pleased to join the board of an organization that is committed to bringing expertise, educational programs and practical resources to the fight against child sexual abuse.”
