A 10-second public service announcement for Darkness to Light is now appearing on the CBS Superscreen in Times Square. The video, which will run hourly through the end of April, focuses on child sexual abuse education and prevention.
“We are thrilled to have this opportunity to reach 300,000 people a day with our message of preventing child sexual abuse,” said President and CEO Jolie Logan. “We hope this message will encourage people to talk about the issue. When the world makes sexual abuse prevention part of its basic conversations on child safety, we’ll begin to see cultural change.”

Child sex abuse is a growing problem in new zealand and among Maori the statistics are high I am of Maori Irish descent and there is just a unhealthy silence when comes to sexul abuse of any sort. I am impressed with some some of the stategies that are in use in the USA and wonder why we dont utilize them here as the research in this country is limited.
