Danielson, Conn. – The Regional Community Family YMCA partners with Darkness to Light to host an event to raise awareness about child sexual abuse at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 30 at Quinebaug Valley Community College, 742 Upper Maple St., Danielson.
In 2012 the Greater Hartford YMCA partnered with Darkness to Light in an effort to minimize and prevent child sexual abuse.
The event will provide increased awareness of the prevalence, consequences and circumstances of child sexual abuse, facts about the problem of child sexual abuse, training for staff and volunteers in the prevention of child sexual abuse and much more. Participants are asked to RSVP by January 21st to shawn.fongemie@ghymca.org.
