Today marks the fourth day of Darkness to Light Prevent-a-thon, and Charleston County School District (CCSD) again has stepped up to make sure their students are better protected. Last year, CCSD trained 100% of teachers; however, with each new school year brings new challenges and new employees. Keeping in line with their commitment to child sexual abuse prevention, CCSD trained 150 of their new teachers today! These teachers are now armed with the steps and tools to better prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to the issue of child sexual abuse.
Prevent-a-thon continues throughout the whole month of August. To get involved or take the training check out D2L.org.
