It is with sadness, but also excitement for her, that we share that Darkness to Light’s Deputy Director of Communications, Katherine Lee Wood, is leaving us for a new adventure. While we will be losing an integral part of our team, she has found an amazing opportunity and we are delighted to cheer her on in the next steps of her journey.

As many of you know, Katherine began in the Programs Department, supporting facilitators and their Stewards of Children® training initiatives and playing an integral role in the launch of Stewards of Children® 2.0. When she moved into the Communications Department, she continued to uplift the voices of victims, survivors, and advocates. She has developed interactive campaigns (such as the Five Days of Action) to help you engage your audiences in prevention, written countless blog posts and newsletters, spearheaded coordinating our IGNITE National Prevention Conferences for several years, and has been instrumental in the development of our new Honest Conversations web series. She has left her mark on the organization and us all in her eight years with us.

For us, the only way to truly thank her was to include you — your stories of laughter, triumph, heartbreak, and success.
