Predator educators: Social media can play role in school affairs
Their names are like a wall of shame to Delaware educators because of the head-shaking and hand-wringing they caused in classrooms and communities.

They are among 12 Delaware educators who, since 2006, have been convicted of crimes stemming from sexual misconduct with students.
Yet experts say there has not been a measurable increase, that there have always been a few bad apples, educators who have preyed upon teenagers and children.
What’s changed, they say, has been a shift in attitudes and awareness, as well as the use of technology to identify, and in many cases prosecute, the predators. Many times, it is the same technology that helped facilitate the relationships in the first place.
