When Culture Heals

How science can create self-healing communities.

In the last two decades, scientists have learned a lot about the power of experience to shape health and well-being throughout people’s lives and across generations. Experiences during childhood shape how we respond to stress, our risk for disease and injury, and how we relate to ourselves and to the people around us. We are powerful because our actions can create the kinds of experiences that support healing and help everyone to live into wellbeing day by day. In this workshop, we will use interactive exercises and direct instruction to share scientific findings about the power of experience in shaping health and learn from examples of how the science is being used to create Self-Healing Communities.
