We are pleased to introduce the Darkness to Light Gala restaurant and committee chair French Master Chef Nico Romo.
Chef Romo has directed Patrick Properties’ celebrated culinary programs across four historic venues since 2007, crafting vibrant interpretations of classic French cuisine with artful Asian touches. His charismatic blend of raw passion and innovative gourmet flair stems from an international career alongside leading names in the industry. Prominent appearances include showcases at the Culinary Vegetable Institute and De Gustibus Cooking School, as well as his sold-out dinner at New York’s James Beard House.
Chef Romo is the youngest ever Master Chef of France and U.S. member of l’Académie Culinaire de France. Both of these elite international assemblies are comprised of the most highly skilled chefs in techniques and traditions of the French culinary art. Chef Nico is one of just 52 French Master Chefs, nationwide, and the only recipient located in South Carolina. As executive chef of FISH Restaurant in Charleston, Chef Romo delights guests with his warm candor and inspired menu of locally harvested cuisine.
